Whether you want to think about it or not social media is here to stay. Sure it may not look just like it does today and the major players may be different five years from now but honestly, that’s not the point anymore. The point is that regardless of how we feel personally about social media (a surprising number of SMB owners still make a face when you mention the option mainly because they don’t know much about it yet) it is part of the overall marketing fabric of any company that is staying even or ahead of their competition.

We made a small change to the application this evening: it now has a new address! We’ve moved it from the coopsem.com domain to dealerignitionapp.com. Our users let us know that the old domain was hard to remember, and it didn’t make much sense anymore since we do much, much more than just coop SEM. Everything else about accessing the application is the same. If you used to access it with the address http://mybrand.coopsem.com, you would now use http://mybrand.dealerignitionapp.com.
The old domain will continue to work for a few months, but you will get a reminder message about the change every time you use it, so the sooner you update any bookmarks you are using, the smoother the transition will be...

Today I am happy to announce Dealer Ignition is sporting a new, sleeker look. We have been hard at work over the past month improving the Dealer Ignition experience for you. I’ll give you a quick rundown of the changes.
Updated User Interface
The first change you will notice is an updated user interface. We removed the sidebar and expand the width of the main window. The application’s new homepage will now act as a springboard to get you quickly to the portion of the application you need.

Many retailers deal with seasonal products. Certain products that have specific time of the year where they are used thus it is assumed that there is greater interest in the product during that time period. I realize this I not breaking any new ground for most of you but how you think about marketing seasonal products should be new because guess what: there is no off season for marketing.
Some of are probably thinking “Sure there is. It’s the time that I have to spend less money and save for the busy season.” If this is how you are thinking I would suggest that you consider things differently....

While it would be great to write that the dark days of the recession are over and there is nothing but blue skies for the foreseeable future that would be irresponsible.
